Here is a picture of it installed on my bike.
The labels didnt come out so good but the box on the left is pointing to the stock connector that would go to the O2 sensor and the box on the right is pointing to the O2 optimizer installed which like Demon said is just a resistor that tricks the system into thinking it's getting a reading from an O2 sensor.

There are 4 wires a green/brown, orange/white, black/white and I can't see what the fourth one is.

So the optimizer is on the left side of the bike and not the same side as the exhaust?

Turns out I have the optimizer installed, just doesn't have that black cap at the end like yours does in the picture
