Does anyone have dimensions of the manual CCT? From the pics, it just looks like a bolt with an attachment. Is that really all it is? If so, why does it cost $50? If not, what else do you get with it?

Default Manual CCT worry.

I just replaced the auto with a manual. I followed the guide in the CCT sticky and tightened it by hand until it stiffened up then gave it another 1/4 turn. I was sh*tting my pants when it came to starting it, thought it was all going to end it tears but it fired up first time as always and sounded pretty smooth.

This is it at present, how does this sound to some of you guys with a ear for this kinda thing?

Once I started the bike and with the engine running I found I could easily move the adjusting bolt by hand with ease and there was no noticeable change.

Would slowly unscrewing the bolt with the engine running be my next move to try hear the rattle? Id also like to add that I never got any rattling until the engine was warmed up. The old CCT is sitting next to me and it'll be a pretty good stress toy once I clean the oil off. Im surprised at how much push it had against the chain, I had to press it fairly hard to get the last nut off when removing.

Could someone point me in the direction of an automatic cct? Can't seem to find one anywhere. Dennis kirk doesn't even have it. I don't want the manual because I will be selling my bike and don't want to mess with the manual.

EDIT: Or is this it? (#5)

Yup, that's the one. Don't forget to buy the gasket and bolts if you don't already have one.

The bolt and washer from the old cct can't be reused?

The hardware associated with the tensioner are as follows: two bolts, two washers, and one gasket.

Just make sure you have all of them.
