CCT Replacement (fix the engine rattle for good)
I run Amsoil full synthetic 10w-40, make sure you get Motorcycle specific oil.
The CCT sounds like a tin can full of nails in a paint shaker, if you can imagine it.
Video clips are generally deceptive, sound quality is usually poor and there's no way to tell where the sound is coming from.
Chances are, if you have a loud rattle and are still using the OEM tensioner it's a good idea to replace it.
I have a brand new F2 APE tensioner that I don't need, I gave my used one to a friend on the terms that he replaces it, and forgot to get him to order an F3 tensioner because I swapped motors. So I now have the F2 tensioner that I do not need.

How can you clearly distinguish between this sound and a valve adjustment being required. I'm new to the CBR having just bought a 1991 CBRF2. I also have a VTX1300 and it is a very noisy engine, but I'm unsure what to expect from this engine.
It sounds great revving, but at idle there's definitely some rattling sounds going on.

Heres the rattle: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCsvS...ext=1&index=24
If it sounds like that, then get yourself a MCCT
Atfer I installed my "home made" version, evrithing is fine, and no more rattle
