The only things left to do is put in the battery, put on the headlight, and then put on the side and front fairings.

I am behind on this thread. I got her started yesterday and rode her around today. It is everything I wanted and it is nice to be able to ride the bike instead of look at it in parts and work on it. I will post up a start up video tomorrow.

How did I miss those pics? It looks great, and it sounds like you're enjoying your hard work. Its paid off. I love the can, subtle, but its a million times better than the full length aftermarket exhausts and the black fits perfectly. I think the bedlined frame/swinger looks great.

So with great success and anticipation comes great failure. Long story short I walked my bike home about 1/2 mile today after going for a ride and stopping in to see my parents for a few minutes. The starter went out on me while trying to start the bike after stopping. It is now buzzing from the solenoid and the bike will no longer crank over.

I just went and had it tested and it does not spin up at all. It has been starting harder than it probably should and I actually had to tap the starter a few times to get it to work when I first got it started on Monday. But the good news is eBay has starters in spades for under $20 that have been tested and in good working order. So I will be ordering one and putting it on.

That sucks man. At least you're sure it's the starter. It's no fun pushing these bikes in the summer time. Hopefully you can get a starter really quick for it and be back in business.

Small update:

Starter was ordered before I went on vacation on Friday and it should be here Wednesday. I have received everything else I ordered for the bike except the headlight which should be here next week (on back order from Honda.) So I should have the video up on Wednesday or Thursday of it running. Wish me luck.

Good luck! Hopefully a week from now, you'll have a bunch of miles on it!
