Hey MT

Congrats on the bike so far, that's great to hear about the charge. So what do you have to say to all of those mechanics that swore on their mothers that the bike will only charge over 5000rpm?

Yep that sounds right and hopefully she wont give another problem like that for a looooong time. Damn man, that price for just the light does seem a lot. I hope they can fix your other gauges so that you can do what the bikes meant to do, be on the road and not in garages.

yup, do not believe mechanics when they say the bike charges at 5,000 rpm. minimum [:@]

I'm glad to have my baby back, but it would be nice to know what rpm I'm at and whether my bike is overheating or not [&o]

Thanks for the support though Duke it is appreciated!

She goes back to Honda tomorrow.

I'm hoping they can fix it quickly while I wait, but I am not sure how long it will take.

I also hope Honda doesn't come up with some excuse that I need a completely new instrument panel.

Well, Honda came through and all my instrument lights are working again, even the side-stand light (orange) and the neutral light (green)

As I suspected, the wiring was a mess and the mechanic had a hard time getting it all right again.

The past couple owners messed with the wiring for their own projects and he said it made it harder.

The temp. gauge and the tachometer works great and I also have full-charging of my batt. again.

Used the voltmeter and with the engine ON, the battery shows it's being normally charged at IDLE, or 1500 rpm.

Thank you everyone for helping me and for your encouragement. HOpefully this will be the last post like this for a while.

Honda charged me 75 for fixing the wiring, and I think this is fair because the reason the tach. went out and the temp. gauge and all my indicator lights is because of the wiring from the past owners, not Honda. They also replaced my burnt out neutral light bulb and temp. gauge light bulb at no charge.

Overall I couldn't be happier with Honda!
