-1 in front

150 tooth rear :-P

down one and a second gear wheelie will be just fine. Be safe

OR.........you could leave it stock. I've worked them up with just a blip in 2nd but you have to tug pretty damn hard to get it up.....clutch works EASY in 2nd at 55 or you could stand up and bounce it up. Either way......stock will work fine but he's right -1 up front will make it easier.

i have come to a conclusion : the bike has the power and ability but the rider doesnt (yet)

Also consider... thongs, toothbrush and soap on a rope, for those short stays!!!!!

Its all technique man, like eater pointed out, it can totally be done on a stock bike with stock gearing. Its gonna take some time, trust me it took me a while to get them down. And by a while, I mean I attempted them accelerating out of every stop light I came to for a couple months. Best advice I can give is just give that time down so as soon as the front forks are compressed, you give it the gas so the bike powers up right when the front suspension is on the rebound and bringing you sky high. Good luck and dont freakin12 the damn thing!! :-)

Stand ups man.........WAY easier to hold the balance point. I never really got it down on my 900 for some reason. It just didnt feel right to me at the time, but my 1000 LOVES stand ups. If you are running out of RPM, shift.............and continue on your merry way. that's not going to get you to balance, but it will let you carry it farther if you want. Good luck.
