Default Wheelies

I'm thinking about buying my friends 06 cbr 1000. I ride a 954 now! Well this might sound dumb your maybe thinking why I'm asking this, But I love to ride stand up wheelies ! I'm not no stunt-er I like to keep a clean motorcycle. I just want to know is there much of a power difference? The bike does feel bigger then my 954. I know its a Honda but do you think that it well hold up to wheelies like the 954 I don't see people stunt the 1000 as much as the 954. I mean the longest wheelie I ever done was 2.7 miles 2nd gear between 68-77mph stock gearing. I don't do them that long now just cause its no point too it , now I put it down almost when the front wheel begins to stop turning. Do you guys think that the 1000 will be just as good. Now before you guys start with the smart comments. I know there's more to riding then wheelies I love to ride, when I'm not at work I'm riding. Its just I love to wheelie I also love the looks of the 1000 if there's one thing that I don't like about itis the hyd clutch. Thanks I will post some pictures when I get the bike If I get it.

Well, I am not talented enough to ride a 2+ mile wheelie, but I will say that the bike lifts nicely sitting or standing by power or clutch. I like using the clutch the best when sitting and just plain power when standing. I don't think you will have any complaints if you get one.

Check out the stunters section in this forum, you can probably get some good advice there also.

Default RE: Wheelies

the 954 was known to be a very wheelie happy animal
the 1000 is much more refined. it will come up if you make it but primarily it was designed as a track bike with both wheels on the ground where they belong.

even with a 15/43 gear ratio, and a HRC quick turn throttle i can come out of a corner and twist the grip off and at most a little tire smoke and a small power wheelie until i back off the throttle. its all about body position
