The proper way to pack bearings is pretty hard to explain on a wab page, but it's a matter or forcing the grease in and around the rollers inside the bearing. Many do this by taking a handful of grease and scraping the edge of the bearing in it over and over until the grease gets packed in. Move to a different spot and repeat until the bearing is full of grease.

Many factory bearings are seals though, so you may not be able to pack them this way. Only way to do those is with a needle kit that uses something similar to a syringe to inject the grease.
