Default flush mount question

I bought some greggs flush mounts and i going to put them on soon. I also bought resistors for them so they don't blink so fast. I understand how to wire everything up. my question is what do i do with the resistors. I heard they get hot and was wondering what the correct way of mounting them is.
thanks

Default RE: flush mount question

I used heat shielding sleeves that you can buy from any auto parts store. Then wrapped them in electrical tape and zip ties to hold the sleeve in place.
