Replacing Stator cover

I am getting ready to replace the stator cover on my 97 f3. is this a real difficult job? it doesnt look to be too hard to do, and do i need to empty oil when i change the cover? thanks for the help!

nope it is relativey simple , and i know when i changed out my stator yes oil did come out so also remember to add more back in haha

best time to change the stator cover is on a oil change so this way there is a emty stator cover and fresh oil after simple salution
