I doubt it can be done with yours as need a F£ with speed sensor that works on gear box

If you put bike on center stand or rear paddock stand and put it gear and rev it up if speedo needle moves then it can be done if it dont move then conversion (mod) cant be done

Waitng to buy f4i gauge for my f3 1998
But need full info and what parts i need to do this looked on here but just in
Bits not full
Found one but pictures donot show so can anyone help me
Got my new fairing on now waiting to get my wheels back from the shop getting them power coating

Just the F4i gauges and what ever wiring method you choose. 900RR temp sensor is optional as the F3's fan and switching mech. are not controlled by the gauges, only the resulting temp is read and displayed (inaccurately). So if you don't mind it saying your at 250+ degree's and a red light you'll be fine.

 

ive lost my tach as well (rpms) which wire is this exactly cans omeone clue me in to narrow this down ive triple checked my wiring plus it worked fine last year

edit............ i believe i found it being the yellow with green on it nothing wrong with the wire not sure if its the guage or not
lol now i put it back together and its blowing my headlight fuse........grrrrrr

 

Here's the conversion chart as to how to hook up the F3 harness to the F4i guages...

F3 to F4i
Green/Blue---- Green/Blue
Pink/Green----Pink/Green
Black/Brown----Black/Brown
Brown----Brown/White
Light Green/Red----Light Green/Red
Orange----Orange
Light Blue----Light Blue
Blue----Blue
Blue/Red----Blue/Red
Green (one of them)----Green
Green/Black----Green/Black
Yellow/Green----Yellow/Green
Pink (solid pink) - ground this out (other green)
Brown/Black - fuel reserve sensor - not used
Red/Green - battery(+) - connect to battery
White/Blue - fi indicator - not used.
Yellow/Black----Green/White

This is where you have an option..
courtesy of iwanta900rr: .....I finally discovered how to use the 'FI' bulb as the kickstand indicator!!
To add, it is also functional in that if you put the kickstand down in gear, it stalls!
f3's yellow/black wire connects to f4i's white/blue wire AND NOT it's green/black wire.

Ok found some for £200.oo is that about right price they say it of a f4 but look the same
