yea, it wont affect the fan or the valves that let the coolant travel through the radiator.

the temp sensor is for information to the driver only.

you need to read the f4i manual on how to set it manually, once you hook it up to the battery.

honestly, i dont even look at the clock.
i could care less.

NOTE:
I know you guys are worried about the blinking red light if you dont do the temp sensor swap, so heres a tip: disconnect the current sensor in the bike (located between the frame and right side of the airbox) and it will make the red blinking light disappear. Hope that helps.

Super easy fix, buy like 5 feet of 18 gauge wire, run it from the positive side of the battery to the red/green wire coming out of the f4i gauge.

I still not solved the problem with the time clock . Now another problem: I do not know how it's on the F4i but to me the RPM counter not return 0 when I shut off the engine but somewhere around the of 2000 rpm position. Same to you?

when you turn on the bike, does it reset itself by going all the way up the rpm gauge, and then back down to 0?

You said you were testing out the gauges, so I'll assume you didn't wire them up to the bike yet....

1. Once you wire up the gauges properly, the rpm will clear to 0
2. You need to have the RED wire on POSITIVE of the battery at all times, as soon as you remove the wire from positive the clock will clear.

double check your wiring, the rpm should clear once proper power is added

I found the problem, if i stop the engine from the key, the rpm counter jump. If i stop from the RUN/OFF button, clear to 0.

Remaining just the clock, maybe is something damage inside the cluster. I will check later when i opened ti change the LED.

Check your wiring, that's not right... your rpm should go to 0 regardless how it's turned off
