My CBR f2 project/1000rr conversion: official
Very nice..... Maybe I should just go this route lol. I think you should be able to hide the majority of it. You may have to make your own with some cell foam then glass it... Very impressive none the less. Can't wait to see the finished product.
yea I was thinking about doing some custom covers for the subframe, but my cousin has an 06 600rr and they might seem to fit, so I can try that first and see if its usable like that or not.
I still need to buy/fix my tank, and I havent decided what color I'm gonna go with on the bike.

small update/how my bike sits right now.

Hello guys. Well haven't had the time to work on my bike, but this week I certainly will make some changes on it. I havent even had time of adjusting the fairings and pulling them back. I did start removing thd paint off my rear wheel, lip only of course, and will start to sand and polish it this week. I am gonna go with the red spokes and polished lip. I also made up my mind and I'm gonna go with red paint on my bike. I will start to sand everything probably next week and filling in some rashes and small cracks on some fairings. So I basically just painted my front fender red aswell, it was an ugly black, and removed the paint on my rear wheel lip. Hopefully I will start fresh this week and the next.
I will probably remove my swing arm today and grind off the bolts where the tire hugger bolts in and start sanding and prepping for paint aswell.
Give me some opinions on my wheel color choice.

I personally am not a fan of wheels that are partially painted/powder-coated, and partially polished, but that's just a preference, so it doesn't mean a thing.
If you're going red with the bike, though, it's really hard to beat the look of gloss black wheels - some might find that kind of boring, but black pretty much looks good with anything, especially if you do the red rim tape, like my newest front wheel (well, like all my wheels, I guess!
)

The reason I love this so much, is because it's a timeless look, not dated, and, since black can match so many different colors of fairings, (there are definitely some exceptions) if you decide to do something different with the body color, you can just change the rim tape and anodized valve stem cap colors, to match your new scheme.
Also, grease, brake dust, things that easily "taint" the look of say, a bright red, or white, or any bright colored rim, are well masked by gloss black.
Finally, touching up is a cinch, since gloss black is such an easy paint to match - places where I have had to touch up the rims over the years, from road debris, tire changes, etc., are completely invisible from just a foot or two away.
