My CBR f2 project/1000rr conversion: official
Got some pictures today actually. Let me know of you guys can see the difference. I wanted to pull them more from the rear because look at how the lower fairing is angled, I mean I can pull it from just the rear of it but I wanted it to be straight just like the 1krr has it, but I realize this is a custom fit so I will not be able to align some things exactly as the 1krr.

I see now.... This may sound weird, don't know if it will work. Try a small, 1/2 inch extension on the top fairing stay bolt, may have to play with the length bit, theoreticallyin my mind, it should tilt the fairings towards the front dropping the front body line. Then maybe trim the lower to tuck up behind your pipe. If it works like I picture it you would be set.
I kind of know what you mean, I was thinking about that also. Kind of like just putting brackets on top so the fairing stay bolts up more forward from the top, making the fairing pull up from behind.
Exactly. Shouldn't be too hard, and if you do it right shouldn't be able to tell. On another note, I had a 90 eclipse same color, til I painted it lime green back in 96. That car would walk from my 5.0 in a sec..... Man I miss that car lol
Haha well I've had mine for 3 years now, I cant let go of it for some reason. I love the fact that it can take almost any mildy modded v8, mustangs especially, then their like what do you have under there, "Oh just a 4 banger" and the look on their face is priceless Lol. I take it to the local races pretty often. Their a curse I guess.
Ive tried to sell it but I always take off the ad on craigslist because I cant let it go, it is my first car, back when I bought at 16.
On another note, Im painting the swingarm red so I'll see how it turns out, just waiting on the paint to dry.

I agree. I'll use the cheap stuff for guide coats and such, but I've always used krylon. Although I saw the duplicolor black chrome thinga majig at the parts store today so I may have to experiment.
I think I may pay a visit to vatozone and check out the colors, I'm gonna look for a flakey/metallic red for my fairings and possibly wheels and swingarm for the future. This was just a let me see how it looks red type of deal. lol I'll upload pics in a bit.
