My CBR f2 project/1000rr conversion: official
So... let's see it!!
Im still not too sure of how the paint scheme will be, but I was thinking about a all red with a black tail & some graphics/logos. Or all red with some graphics or maybe even some type of tribal, just so that you can see its there.
Hey and dont trash my swing arm, I started spraying airplane paint remover so I can start sanding it too, but ran out of time. Ill see if I can finish today.

Yea I went with the banner red since the other red was a little too dark. I didnt use any clear coat on the wheel though because I will sandblast them during the winter for a better look. I can imagine that it will look awesome with some 3 coats of clear on it.
Small update:
So I started mocking up the fairings and my fairing stay yesterday afternoon. I pulled them back as much as I could with the "custom" brackets I had made since the 1krr is a male style bolt in, as for the f2's is a female style. That still didnt look good for me, so I said oh why the hell not, and I cut the original mounting bracket, jist the front portion, and the 2 tunnels that are welded to it, which is where the bolts would go thru on the f2's fairing stay. I gave it a good look now, but I cant manage to get that line where the mid and lower fairings meet to be inclined towards the front just how the 1krr has it. Although mine is just straight now, which doesn't look as bad as before where the line was inclined towards the back. I didn't get to finish it yesterday, but I'll see what I can do today. Although there's no more pulling the stay back because it is now in the stock location. I did like that the cluster is now closer, since with the brackets there was more of a gap, and you could see the rear of my headlight housing. Here are some pictures so you can give me an opinion, although it's already night time you can still see it.

Compare it to this and you can see a difference.

I was thinking about doing the same to my stay. Def need better pics.... A side profile would be great lol. I can see it's closer to the controls though. Just keep in mind, if it looks good and natural without the incline, imo it doesn't have to be an exact replica....
Well I'm not gonna be able to get some pictures until tomorrow guys. It started raining out of no where yesterday really bad. I was at work and I left my bike outside.
When I got home is was just drizzling, so I was gonna move my bike under the roof, and well guess what guys, my exhaust was full of water.
So as I was cranking it the water started to push out of the exhaust, but it was alot of water. After cranking for a while the bike started
and thru the rest of the water out, so let it idle a bit and reved it to 8000rpm until no water came out, and put it under the roof. Good thing was that it started or I would've been fawked! lol I'll upload some pictures tomorrow for sure.
