Anyway, as far as the fairings, I'm working on a surprise, dont wanna say too much, trying to swing it we will have to see how it goes though. should be a busy couple months with the riding and building going on.
Sounds like you got alot going on now, and well what ever the conversion is, just take your time instead to do it right man, or you will find yourself going back to do it again, ask me how I know. lol well update your thread man as soon as you start at it again with that tranny.

mind the fact im in the air there catching me over the mountain at cadwell
Oh yea man I was thinking you meant fender, but I was gonna wait and see what mud guard was. Well I got to say it looks good and if it bolts right up and the rear you just cable tie, I might give it a shot. I was looking at 1000rr fenders but have no idea if they would bolt right up or I would make new holes. Thanks for the tip. *Goes to ebay and check price tags on r6 fenders*

looks like the old man didnt like cable ties and has drilled new holes dont know what he did for the back nut but i personally would use an epoxy resin to hold a nut onto the back after all it cant be seen

back- very close up picture also remember race bike it is stripped and rebuilt quickly so things get scratched if you took the time and care it wouldn't get scratched.

Yeah, that's exactly what I would do, and it's what I did with both of the latest fenders I installed, on each of the bikes.
I would probably, no, definitely, patch the Yam fender's rear mounting holes with fiberlass, and of course, sand and paint, and then glass in a couple of the square nuts Honda uses on the inside of the rear mounts for the fenders... like what I did on the F3 fender on the race bike:

yes if i were to have mine as a show/pride and joy i would cut the back mount hole off glass it to a shape i liked as you have but the way i ride it may get broken every time im out so no point in 3 hours work for me to break it when i lose grip at 80+mph

that f3 one looks nice

Which trick? The part about "glassing" in a nut for the fender mounting, or the part about not crashing?
