If you have the time that would be awesome, the only thing I don't like about this 1000rr tail is the vents it has, makes it stick out more to the side, making the passenger ride more openly if you you know what I'm trying to say. Although I think the rear seat on both the 1000rr and 600rr are the same, I think the front one is the one that changes.

I'm in between Lol. I found new aftermarket fairings for either 03-06 600 for 300 or 05 1000 for 300. Trying to decide whether I should just purchase the whole kit or not. Been riding what I have but lately the only lowers I can find are gonna be half the price of the full kit. How did your sides mount up? Pretty easily?

My side were pretty easy to mount, you only have to worry about putting a bracket/bolt thru on the last hole which does not bolt to the lower. The lower I just made a bracket that bolts up to the oem bracket and extends to the 1000rr bolt hole.

Sucks because I wanted to test it out with the new chain but oh well maybe things happen for a reason. Here are some pictures of how the situation is, and one picture of how the chain looks on now. Thanks for any help guys.

Things DO happen for a reason. Like you, I've had good luck with my vehicles. They break down at the right moments, rather than when i'm on the road doing 60+mph. Definitely a good thing that bolt broke at the time it did.

Yea, luckily it didn't break going 60+mph or that would have been me falling down and possibly really injured.
