Also, bear in mind what you're installing them on, and this really just pertains to the lowers used... if you use the F3 lowers, the brakes will mount a touch differently, and you will have to have an F3 fender (you'll notice that the mounting bosses for the fenders are different, between the F2 and F3 lowers, and the mounting bosses for the calipers is a little higher on the F3 fork).

Thanks JNS.
Ive just finished painting my F3 lowers.
4x primer 4x paint 5x laqcuer so hopefully no chips.
Ill be rebuilding the forks tonight and getting them mounted. Ill try using the method you said to see which feels better... i suppose even that is a bit of a lose way to guage it, i guess, like you said as well, if i dont like the feel when shes out on the road again i can always swap the internals over.

thanks again. id be SCREWED without your help. I do appreciate it.

Actually, if your cartridges are both the same length, which they should be, all you'll have to do is remove the cap, the top spring collar, and swap the spring out, and assuming each spring type will displace the same amount of oil, within reason, you might not even have to add/substract fork oil.

If you do end up doing this swap with the forks on the bike, just make sure you're using a front stand that lifts from the lower triple clamp, and not the legs, or you'll get a very unpleasant surprise when you get the caps loosened!!

Maybe you'll get lucky, and be happy with the way it rides, with the first springs you pick!

Hi guys.
Fairly unproductive weekend as I promised to spend some time with the wife.
I'm having problems getting the bearings out of my swing arm. I've got them all but the needle one. Is there any methods I should be try???

Also, I remember reading somewhere about changing the throttle controls for some different ones for a quicker turn motion, is anyone able to provide some info on this? I've done search but can't seem to stumble across it?
Thanks

Are you talking about the r6 1/6th turn throttle tube? If so and I'm not mistaken its the throttle tube from an 06 r6. Yam part number 2C0-26240-00-00, that number comes with the grip supposedly. There are slight clearance issues to deal with but nothing major at all... let me see if I can find the link for the thread...

I know its for an f4i but should be bout the same..

Just thought I'd post, see how everyone is and show you my latest purchase.

Certainly putting a smile on my face!

Swamp thing is half done, she's going to be a bike for stunting practise and general messing about on.

Very nice! What year?

And speaking of posting pictures, the last pictures of Swamp Thing were of a lot of freshly painted parts, but I'm assuming some of those parts have assembled into a little more of something, sooooo, how'z about some progress pics there?

Also, have you still got the F3 as well?
