Hey guys, I am relatively new to this forum (I came from bimmerforums, as i see that some of you are accustomed to already). For those of you who dont know this is my first motorcycle. I took a good amount of time before picking the bike i wanted. I wasnt sure on the exact bike i wanted, and then i came across a F4i and realized by the looks of it, that it was the bike for me. I love its low hanging farings, and the front a tail end of the bike. But i am HUGE on projects, so i didnt want to buy a bike in perfect shape. i would rather fix one up a little so i can do it how i want it.
I came across a 2001 F4i (that only had 9k miles btw) that had just been painted Flat black (it was pink, so she painted it so it would be easier to sell). After taking a look at the bike it need mirrors, a windshield, blinkers, and a new right fairing because the one on there isnt even a F4i fairing!!! hahah.
i then had a shop check it out for me (a highly reputable shop btw) and they said it is in excelent machanical condition, it just needs some TLC on the exterior!
I said sounds like the perfect bike for me! The girl (who is a hot stripper btw) wanted 3200 for it, i fed her a bunch of Bs, and ended up picking it up for 2500 cash.
NOW the modding begins. I really love Carbon fiber, the real ****, or at least real looking not the fake vinyl with silver dots on it. so the theme is dark metalic blue/flat black with carbon fiber accents.
So far i have ordered just about everything i want/need except for exhuast and the tear vinyl im going to order for it. But only a few things have showed up on my front door.

cf mirrors are coming along with some low profile front blinkers, dark blue time attack stripes, my new fairing, bar ends, ect.
ill keep this thread updates as i mod.
i have some really awsome plans for the bike so stay posted.
Btw i am still a total noob when it comes to this bikes so all suggestions, and comments welcome.

I suggest no fake cf especially the windscreen, other than that it should turn out good.

One sweet mod you should do is the angel eyes. I know one member here put some BMW lamps in.

 

Grats on the new ride. Another Cali bike huh. What city did you get it from, I've seen a few flat black F4is around where I work. Take it easy.

 

windscreen is real cf!

 

although that looks awesome, i am going to stay away from angel eyes only because i had them on both of my bmws, instead im going with the new audi look and doing led's running along the bottom on either side of the headlight, and a little up the sides.
