Congrats on the spare parts. The condition of that other engine is/was pretty terrible.... Thank god you don't have to fix it and can just throw in that other engine.
I didn't bother fixing my F2 engine either... a spare motor for these bikes is so cheap.

Great find man. How much you want for that gas tank?haha. I need one bad as mine has some very small pin holes in it from a crappy repair job and the gas is lifting my new paint up. I'm tired of trying to fix it.

The gas tank is for sale, I won't be needing it. It has recently been sprayed that orange colour and tbh, it's quite a good job, it does have a small nick in the top that I can photo graph for you.

You know, you could sell your other tank instead... since you've got orange wheels and tank now, you've got a good excuse to get a Repsol body kit for Swamp Thing!

Unfortunately guys, the eBay listers listing was wrong, and this isn't infact a 92, but a 97.

-.- so, on the upside, I now have everything I need to convert my front end to f3, giving me better braking, and suspension, I can have a bigger wheel on the back, giving me more stability. All is not lost, the tank I do not want. Welcome to offers on that one.

My question is now this, will I be able to use the f3 engine?
Will I be able to use the f3 wiring loom?
Will I be able to use the f3 radiator?
Brakes?

Etc etc

up to you on the rad side but i personally would sell it (make a profit) and then buy a fireblade or R1 radiator and make that fit.

the wiring loom will need an F3 ecu and F3 carbs as the F3 uses a Throttle position sensor to control the ignition timing and the F2 does not.

if installing an F3 moto into an F2 frame you will need to cut and weld some small pieces out of the frame to allow for the TPS

and i want the tank please were you based?

Jackofjeff, Will Pm You ref the Tank.

so, these last two days, ive been trying to get my F3 back on the road all to know avail!
STUPID THING!!

anyway, going to get refocused on the build.

Today I got the yokes refitted to the frame, wet sanded and 4x coats of lacquer a few parts including the rear swing arm, fork lowers and brake pedal. They have just had another wet sand, tomorrow they'll get the final coat and then a quick rub with finishing compound.
and thats about it tbh. If im honest, id started to lose focus and determination.
But im fully back on track now!

Yes, you're missing the screen, the sealing O-Ring, and the little "anti-crush" rubber, that goes around the tube, and sits at about the halfway point of the screen, to keep the thin, flimsy screen unit from losing it's shape under the pressure of the fuel load.

well, i check in the tank for these things. not there. so im guessing this could have been the cause of some of my fuel related problems before i dismantled the bike.

Always something though eh.
