Well I did go old (F2) to new (F4i) but then I went back again 
The F4i is definitely a better/faster bike but the difference is just not significant enough for street riding (on the track it would be worth the extra cash) and I got my most recent F2 for a song ($500).
I did miss this year's adrenaline open house, which sucks, but last year I won the slow race
