Cbr600 f2 shift problems HELLPP
Was reading this thread an made me think, am I retarded?? How should I adjust my clutch cable to the new lever I put on it. Keep in mind it's a 1 finger clutch lever. I've watched videos but I can't get it quite right. How much slack should I have at the engine before I adjust at the lever???

F2 have fairly stiff clutch pull. This is because of several factors. They are cable not hydraulic, the clutch springs themselves, the length of the clutch arm at the engine, etc.
Most of this stuff you can't change.
But here is what you can do to make it easier.
Start by making sure your clutch cable is lubed properly. On most older bikes they aren't.
If it's still too stiff after that, check the routing under the tank, make sure there aren't any tight bends.
After that, you may just have to replace the clutch cable. Again, nobody ever lubes them and they will rust inside the cable.
But in the end, unless you are Magnus Midtbø you'll probably just have to use 2 fingers.
Using 2 fingers will also make you less likely to miss shifts and fubar your tranny dogs too.
As for adjusting, adjust it so there is at least a little play at the lever. The lever should flop back and forth a bit.
You can add more play if you like the lever closer to the bar. But never adjust it so it's tight.

Good going Brandon ! As you see, always check your clutch adjustment when you have transmission issues. It doesn't matter what kind of bike you have. When you eliminate the clutch then you can move on to other possible causes.
