I was supposed to be be picking up the new main jets for the street bike, and the replacement battery cover for the race bike, after work yesterday, but they ordered the wrong mains, so I'll have to wait unitl next weekend to get the fueling issues taken care of - I was really looking forward to being able to ride without staying in the mid-range and below, but it is what it is.

So, I got the battery cover put on - not very exciting , but necessary, nonetheless.

Slightly more exciting was removing the top triple clamp, trimming the unnecessary metal for mounting the ignition switch, and polishing it.

While I was at it, I etched some marks at 2mm intervals, for keeping record of the clip-on orientation in case I toy with alternate settings for the bar angle.

As you can see, my little "panic button" is in much need of replacement - some brake fluid got on it and, well, enough said.

Thanks... I've gotta come up with some good ideas occasionally, or I'm just taking up space!

Jeff,
i have a small question. can you pls help

stock f2's front brake lines split in two parts just above the front fender thru that splitter pipe thing.
i see that you are running braided lines and there are 2 line attached to the front master cylinder and separately they work on each of the caliper.

now my question is where did you get the bolt which is fixed to the master cylinder and is it longer than the stock one to accommodate 2 brake lines.

I have a spare f3 master cylinder on which i plan to work out this mod.
pls let me know where can i find this long bolt?

Very small, nearly insignificant update...
The make-shift lift spools served me well, but I received the Pit Bull spools yesterday, and got those mounted.

The new bike didn't have any tire valve caps, so I took the steel ones from the race bike, and replaced them with some red anodized aluminum caps.

Race Tech springs for the new forks on the race bike are shipping today, so I will get those installed beginning Friday evening.

when you install the fork springs, will you be replacing the seals for good measure or are they ok, also, if so, can you please do a write up on how to change the seals? Ive had my new seals for about 2 weeks and have been putting off changing them as im not quite confidant enough to do it.

Your polished parts are really making a difference, most people probably wouldnt notice the small changes but added together they make for one hell of a bike.

At this point, I will not be replacing the seals, as they seem to be just fine, and I need to keep costs as low as possible... I'm already probably going to miss the first two rounds of this season, due to financial constraints, which makes me very unhappy.

Definitely search the F2 forum for "fork seals", I remember seeing some threads that had some decent info, and if I remember correctly, one linked to some videos of a guy changing fork seals on an F4 or F4i, maybe?

If I do end up changing my seals, and I see that there's not a comprehensive walk-through thread, of this process, I'll create one.

I got the red fuel tank stripped today - I've got some red Honda wing decals on the way, that should be here any day, and as soon is it warms up a bit, I'll finish the prep on the tank, shoot on gloss black, apply the decals, clear coat it, and get it mounted on the race bike.
