'93 F2 Mods - Phase 1

So, to clarify, you are doing a turn signal mod, which employs the passenger foot pegs, do I have that right?
The ones I have are Pro-Tek, but just like the Competition Werkes units I tried first, they DID NOT mount up correctly, though each brand was identical, and was the correct part number for my fitment... they had to be ground extensively, and I had to get creative on a way to keep them firm, in either the up or down position. Check out page 3 of this thread.
I don't remember where exactly I got them - you can find both of those brands at quite a few places - I think I got mine from Motorcycle-Superstore.com

Ha. That works. I actually found it somewhere else. Here's the DIY:

Ok - that's what i thought you were doing - in that case, the "pegs" that flip up and down, don't matter - you would be installing the LED's into the bracket.
In that case, you don't want the 94 F2/F3 rearsets like I mentioned, because the helmet lock and tiedown ear would be in the way on the left side, and the reservoir for the shock (if you have one). You could always cut them off and grind them side smooth.
F4 rearsets will bolt up to our frame - although it looks like even in these how-to's they're grinding off the heel guards (which you have to do to make the F4 passenger rearsets to work with our tailfairings anyway.)

Looking at your pics you have the tube steel brackets on your bike - the black ones from 91-93.
I've seen several people around here that have removed the long section of tubing that runs back to the rear of the bike and ground that weld down smooth to de-clutter the look of the tail of the bike, without having to buy the newer aluminum rearsets.
As long as you're willing to cut, grind and smooth, you should be able to drill the holes and fish wiring through the tubular portion of the bracket to do what is mentioned in the DIY.

Just read all 27 pages. Great thread and way of modding.
I'm new to bikes but putting anything motor vehicle on a weight lost plan is a great idea, mainly cause its free. I've read way back there was this guy who actually cut and grounded down most of the bolts on his car that protruded pass what was needed. This is pretty advanced weight lost but it did add up to a small bucket full of bolt ends.
Bike looks awesome as well.
