Your bike is gorgeous. I wish I had your skills in mechanics (and design too). Great work!

Thanks, Migge... I don't claim to be highly skilled, but I've got a DIY spirit, and that coupled with learning the basics, and rebuilding some engines, in Highschool auto mechanics, taught me that it's all about knowing it CAN be done, referencing maunals for proper tolerances and specs, and using the right tools, even if that requires getting creative... and I LOVES me some tools!!

Default Don't be so modest...

You are doing really cool stuff to your bike that goes beyond just being interested in DYI . And you give me hope that I too will be able to learn of what motorcycles and dreams are made...

That's one of the great things about forums like this one, you get the chance to see other guys and gals doing all kinds of things to their bikes - on their own. Sooner or later, you'll develop some confidence from seeing these things so much, that you'll be comfortable with doing more on YOUR own.

Good luck, and, just because I'm curious, have you got a CBR you're going to be working on?

Sure do, a CBR600 F(2) -92. Runs perfectly fine as far as I can tell, but then again, not that experienced to know what I would be looking for... But a great CBR which I love in its original state (especially after the encouragement given by fellow members here).

That's a nice looking example, Migge, be sure to start a thread after the bug bites, and you begin to do things to it... unless, that is, it's your intention to keep it stock, which is good as well.

Remember, I'm a coalminer with 2 teenage daughters. Going to look at a 06 cbr 600rr tomorrow. Its wrecked, but how wreck, I'll find out. If its not too bad I'll fix it for the track, if it REALLY Wrecked I'll part it out.
