I work on my bike before work when I'm on afternoon shift, after work when I'm on midnight shift and pretty much none when I'm on day shift. Two teenage daughters going to dance classes, one is in the high school band, needing picked up or dropped off somewhere 5 days a week. Oh yeh, I got a wife also who always got that "honey do list" that never gets done cause the "track day is next weekend honey" hahahahaha! On a side note........"slacks" aint heard that for a while.lol

Slacks are stupid... just a thinner, useless covering on my legs so that they'll get shredded if I happen to go down on the street! Good news for me is I might be making a job change to working on a network where the director of information technology interviewed me wearing a T-shirt, jeans, and Chuck Taylors... works for me!! Oh, and about an $8,000 yearly salary increase! Here's hoping!

In addition to the lighter solo seat, for use with the race bodywork, I shortened my Yoshimura can by about 5 1/4 inches, for just a tad more weight savings - between these two items, I lightened things a further 2.25 lb exactly.

Puttin' these bikes on a diet is one of the only things to be done, to get anywhere near level terms with newer machinery... it's almost an exercise in futility, but with every pound I drop, it's faster in a straight line, easier to stop, and quicker to flick.

Oh, and, yes sir, get you some work done!

"Post up", as in you've got some stuff to sell? Or do you still have some pics of yours?

That's just the OEM tire hugger that comes with the F2 - you can get 'em from Honda, but eBay would be many times cheaper - also, Airtech has one for a very good price, compared to dealer, but you have to drill the mounting holes and paint them.

You can find this item near the bottom of the page on this link:

http://www.airtech-streamlining.com/...0F21991-94.htm

The price list is on the very bottom.

Speaking of the "dieting" I mentioned, in a recent post, the fiberglass tank on that Airtech page will be mounted to the bike before next race season... it's pricey, but not when you consider that it's a 10 lb. + loss, for one relatively simple change.
