Hi mate

The plugs on my bike are standard ngk's not iridium and need an 18mm deep socket or box spanner/wrench. I think there are also 16mm plugs that fit too.

Might be handy to know if you don't have the tool kit.

Let us know if you're unsure of something when you do the carb clean and oil and filter change. I've just changed my oil and filter and cleaned the carbs a few months ago. Don't take them apart and don't mess with the mixture screw unless you're an expert. A basic clean of the jets and passages and the other stuff in the float bowls is normally is all that's needed.

I didn't synch my carbs so I might learn something from this thread if you do yours.

I've got a question to kinda of piggy back off of the OP's question, The oil drain screw, is on the left side of the bike next to the Exhaust? the illustration in the manual makes it kinda of difficult considering my bike never had the Fairings on it so just double checking.

As far as i can tell, syncing the carbs is fairly easy, Ill be doing this once i get the Major safety parts of my bike in. So ill try and do a write up on that when i can... No promises though >_> lol

Yeah the drain screw is on the left side (near side/curb side in UK) if you were sat on the bike. It's at the bottom of the oil pan/sump near the exhaust and I think needs an 18mm socket. I put a hi-flo oil filter on mine that I got for £7 from a bike shop. I can recommend them - look good quality to me.

it's a 17mm, just did mine a month ago.
The spark plugs are the 18mm
