I HAVE A 2004 CBR 1000 AND IT HAS DIED ON ME 2 TIMES WHILE UPRIGHT. ONCE WHEN APPLYING POWER AND ONCE TOOLING AROUND. THE TIP OVER SENSOR IS IN THE UPRIGHT POSITION AND IT DOES NOT FLASH A CODE. ANY ADVISE IS NICE

 

Is the battery dead? it so, I would check your regulator rectifier. I had a problem with my regulator rectifier on my 97 cbr and I have heard that 2004 also had a small issue with them.

 

Brand new battery so I will look into the rectifier.

 

Spark Plugs maybe had the same issue before with my F3....

 

Mine kept dying (then it wouldn't start). Found out it was bad (dirty) gas. (Gas Station flooded with dirty water the night before) I drained the tank, refilled the tank with new gas, haven't had a problem. Don't know if that's your problem, but it's a thought.

 

Make sure your ground cable is secured tightly on the battery post and on the motor. I've had problems very similar. good luck.

Your injetors might be blocked. Try running a known fresh, clean gas through it. You could also try put fuel injetor cleaner in the gas.
