Default f4i dying

a few weeks back I decided to paint my bike...got almost all the way done and then some **** came up. It ran before I took the tank off(about a week ago) and when I put it back on, the bike will start and idle fine. As soon as I hit the gas it just dies. Anyone give me some help here?

Is it gas in it? Sounds pretty dumb but it will idle for a while with little gas in the tank then when you try to give it gas it will die out.

You may also want to check for a pinched fuel line when you bolted it back down.

we filled it with gas...checked the lines and they are fine. Still nothing. Also the FI light is blinking...what does that indicate?

You have to count the blinks and that gives you a trouble code then you look it up in manual.

Sounds like the tps sensor is unplugged or maybe the map. Either way its nothing major just tear it back down and check everything.

sounds like a pinched fuel line to me. i took the tank off the f4i put it back on and hooked the line up wrong and it was pinched. it would run fine and just die all of a sudden, when i looked underneath sure enough i could see the fuel line pinched. fixed it and ran fine afterwards
