Well I seized mine up today I'm not sure to try and change the cam chain and tensioner or to change all of the bearings in the lower end is it really that hard to change all the bearings I did take the whole thing apart when I loosened number 3 everything started spinning again I put everything together and it ran good shut it off tried to start it again but it is totally seized up transmission is fine only part I won't move is the motor

That's a sad and frustrating story Daniel. You obviously have the ***** to open your motor up and have a go at internal engineering.
I reckon if this has happened again to the same con rod (and I assume that's what you're talking about when you say you loosened No. 3) then it's likely to be a blocked oil way or the new shells are the wrong size making the clearance to the crankshaft to small for oil to flow into it and hold the surfaces apart. If you can be bothered it sounds like you're going to have to do the job again but this time with an eye to checking every oilway and gallery.
I feel your pain. It's soul destroying when things don't go right after all that careful work. It happens! Good luck.

Henry that was very helpful and somehow encouraging. I'm going to try again, not sure of when.

Dram had commented too on one of my other posts and I'm going to have several others look it over after taking it apart. Thanks man.

I took the back tire and rim off, sanded down the swing arm, primed it and started cleaning up the back wheel.

Default Thank you all!

After 3 years of ownership and 30k miles, I traded my 96 1000f for a 2015 BMW S1000RR. I learned so much here. Thank you all!

You are welcome! Ride safe on the new Bimmer - slightly different power delivery to the venerable CBR1000F!

Cheers, SB

Added a new AGM battery from Batteries Plus after seeing my lead acid unit from Autozone was low on water AGAIN.

Tinkered this weekend with the idle mixture screws. Trying to get it set for good throttle response, and a solid idle that doesn't take time to settle. Was a 2.5 turns out on all screws, but noticed the bike tended to hang slightly while revving before settling back down to idle. Also tended to hunt and jerk in traffic at low speed just off-idle. I hope the 3 turns out setting works better. Throttle response seems good in my garage. Waiting for the 102 degree temps to die down here in Dallas before another ride.

Mix Screw Update: First test ride completed and runs great. Must easier to start and the throttle response is much improved. No more hunting in 2nd gear in traffic when barely opening the throttle.

Have you ever jetted it?

Daniel, It's completely stock (and I want to keep it that way honestly) so jetting it without a muffler swap probably won't yield any benefit. I may shim the stock needles with a spare needle shim I have for each from a spare set of carbs I have. This may lift the off-throttle response and mid-range without making the idle too rich and sluggish when cracking the throttle open.
