Awe come on Geoff - the suspense is killing us - !!! where's the pics ?

Here you go Sprock. I think I got a good buy. I'm particularly fond of the last one....Three back in the stable.....just how it should be. Got a bit to do to the 92 but she will clean up nicely. Needs a battery, back tyre, hand grips, bar ends, screen, rack, bearings in rear wheel, some components need a re paint and I need some decals to cover up some general fairing marks but it mostly seems cosmetic. Got it for $1200.

Thanks Guys. I'm pretty happy with it. Like I said a little rough but for 1200 bux its worth the effort of getting her back on the road. I found a sticker on it today where it had a service at 81000 km in 2002 !!! Its done 3000km in 9 years. Other than the usual CCT rattle she sounds strong and actually starts better than my 89.....lol. Check the clip out guys and listen to it. It sounds better in person. It has a four into one system with a pipe that when you look in it has teeth....lol. Obviously a straight through system....lol.

I started some work on the 92 I bought through the week this morning. I'm glad I never rode it home.....the coolant looked like someone had stood on the bike and pi55ed into the radiator. Anyway its drained now awaiting some fresh stuff when I can get to a parts store next week. Also checked the oil and of course its over filled. Some people just have no idea on bike maintenance and shouldn't be allowed anywhere near any bike let alone these old beauties.

The motor however looks very clean with no leaks. I've been right over her just now. Brake pads all good. rear wheel needs bearings. Slight movement there. I'll chip away at her though. I'm enjoying the challenge. She wont know herself with the new coolant.

Default Best M/C battery ever

Hey:

Installed the best, fastest spinning battery ever in my CBR today. The bike starts way easier than ever and is very light, expensive but worth it, as it should outlast 3 of the Yuasa batteries or Die Hards I have used in the past. If it is all like the other Mil Spec batteries they make are this should be good for a long time. No need to change out your battery every couple of years with this as it can go a very long time without a charge (a year or so they claim). When I have dealt with them in the past on other types they have lived up to this claim and then some. No need to charge it prior to install either, just fit, add foam to size it if needed, and hit the button and go. They are My new Diamond standard to which all other batteries will be judged. At this point I highly rec them. I have gel batts in 3 of my other bikes and this seems way more powerful.
After the Holidays I'll order one for one my CBXes and see how that goes as it a little more expensive than the Cane one but since I dont ride it as much it will be a good test on how long they go without being ridden and still hold a good charge.
