Thats awsome reborn. Definately need some pics of the bike! And I know what you mean on the virago not havving enough on the highway. I had a Vstar classic 650, and mind you she was great on acceleration from a stop, but rolling down the road I was not comfortable with how slowly she picked up. Glad to hear you got a new love!!

Default got me a set of these bad boys for the 1990

$63.97 shipped

In black head, silver lever , black extender & black adjuster (first one in pic)
(ebay VTR1000F levers ) works with our 1000F's, already have a non adjustable set

I just ordered those too only with the red adjuster

I fitted a gear rack on her today and yelled at her to get to work! lol

ops i got a bit carried away...was looking for the radiator cap.under the tank! doh!. hope i can put her all back again..

I made the most of it after all..
changed new hand grips matching blue
drained and renewed coolant
top up distilled water and charged battery
painted both exhaust pipe covers heat resistant black
cleaned greased lub the chain
check thermostat kicks in fan
bled clutch
hunted down rattly noises.

shes all back together now...

Be careful puttin too much weight in the rear rack, the front wheel has a habbit of popping up when I carry more than a six pack in mine
