Man this is a good mod. Just wired up my new coils and took her for a spin... ol' Grace has never been so happy!! Gonna go see what she's really got now

Isn't it! What you've done though is freshen the electrical/coil system up to what it was like as new. So it's a restoration of the power

Well, that and then some SB. It does have coil over plug now which is an improvement over stock. She should be 101% as far as spark goes!

I'm sure they would. I think there are a few members with the Mark 1 CBR1000F ('87/88) who have done the mod.

& my 90 & 93

Same scenario for all 3 Generations

Looks like I should be doing this while I've got the bike apart to clean the carbs and replace the plugs soon. Thanks guys!

I did! and it worlks very weel, ther was no difference between the coils of each genration, hell when i replaced my old set the first time, they were cbr900 coils... same part..
