If you aren't using the MC kit how are you going to planning on mounting it? The nice thing about the MC mounting kit is it is secure and it holds the power cable in so it won't vibrate out. That and you will still be able to use the unit in your car. I would consider the MC kit if I were you.

Do any of you guys have experience with this quick mount? I am a little bit concerned about putting my $1000 GPS up on the motorcycle. I need to be able to remove it when I park and for it not to fall off.
