Default Need suggestions... please?

Hey guys, as youg uys know, my forks are leaking. I took apart one fork and resurfaced it, sanded it down, then polished it several times. Looks pretty good. Now what I need suggestions on is, in trying to part my other fork... the fork tube doesn't want to seperate from the fork slider, and yes I removed all the internals, and oil seal/dust seal/circlip. The thing is, I believe the back up ring that goes over the fork slider guide (lower bushing) is stuck within the fork slider. Any suggestions on how to get the back up ring out? I already tried tugging on the fork tube in a hammer motion. Didn't work, I've tried using my hydraulic jack with the upper tripple to pull up on the fork tube, didn't work. (Now I have a slightly bent upper). I need more suggestions. I've heard people state that you should heat the tube up with a blow torch. I could see that working, but I don't want to burn up anything else that isn't suppose to be heated up. Suggestions would greatly help. Thanks.

-Jasper
