Why do you need to know? Voltage is most likely 12V cuz that's what the battery is and so is most aftermarket turn signals.

I want to change the color of the LED's. The voltage for the turn signal system is to my knowledge 12V. (That would make sense) but I'm not sure about for each LED. If anyone has any experience with this I would like to know. I have a fairly good understanding of electronics if that helps at all.

what size leds are they? 5mm are about 1 to 1.8 volts per led and the 3mm leds are less than 1 volt.

I'll have to find out tonight. I haven't taken the Flushies apart yet. I may take a trip to radio shack with them as well to see what i can find out there.

Actually, 5mm and 3mm and any mm are the same as long as the power is the same. Most LEDs are around 20mA and red/green/orange are 2.5 voltage drop, and white/blue are 3.5 typically.

Why are you trying to replace them? Not bright enough? LEDs are way way way dimmer than bulbs... same efficiency, but a single 5mm LED puts out about 3/4 lumen. If they are standard round kind, 5mm, pretty much any LED of similar color will be a direct replacement if you solder/desolder them in place. You honestly can't get enough brightness out of LEDs in signals to pass DOT approval.

I would never put an aftermarket LED kit on my bike, they're just not bright enough. Here is a LED setup I made which with each one of those LEDs putting out 40 lumens, is not bright enough to match stock...

Back to your question, if you're hoping to find a bolt in replacement to make them brighter, you're not going to find one that is easy. Check out HIDPlanet.com if you want info on lighting, I am a mod there.

Hey Ocelaris, where did you get those SMD LEDs?

I got them from ELED.com

http://www.eled.com/category.asp?cat...SMD+LED&Page=1

But unfortunately they require massive heatsinking otherwise they will fry themselves, you have to heatsink the cathode side really well... check out this thread I made on them...

http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=26376

Quite a bit of work, not for the faint of heart... Constant Current Regulator driving them, copper slugs for attachment to the aluminum heatsink + fan...
