I prefer the wind any day, that's what I learned to ride in heavy side wind and blowing sand. Which is why I always wear gear no matter the temp, no quicker way to loose some skin that riding through a sandstorm. I chuckle at the harley guys who wear nothing more that a t-shirt.

Rain on the other hand just plain hurts, cant see through the visor and since we hardly have it in the desert other drivers seem to drive like retards in it.

I voted rain, but I don't like strong winds either. Only been caught in a slight sprinkle of rain, but I know it wouldn't be much fun.

Rain isn't fun, but it is manageable. I've been caught in rain on long trips and just adjust how I ride as needed according to the severity of the storm. Winds gusts here in the Midwest can be scary, especially on the highway or around corners. If it's above 60F deg. I would prefer to ride in rain than wind.

This is an interesting result.
I would have thought wind would have stomped all over rain but it's pretty close.

Got soaked for the first time riding today and found it a pretty unpleasant experience, took it easy on the breaks and throttle and the riding was ok but the visibility made it a little strange.

Gusty wind is pretty bad here too, theres a stretch of motorway near where I live which is pretty exposed so i've had to go easy there a few times.

Kinda held my vote as for me they're both as bad as each other depending on the severity.

I hate rain so much....its not really a favorite because I Get soaking wet. Wind is somthing I have learned to live with being in South Dakota....its just constant wind. I got a bad mix up on my v-star once....1 in the morning, 40 miles out of town, horizontal hail/rain, and wind about 70 mph. I was constantly leaning into it and driving in the oncoming lane to keep on the road....it was real dark and my headlight was covered in dead bugs and I didnt want to try to stop to get them off so I had terrible visibility....and my "rain jacket" turned out to be a wind breaker. My rainpants were also left at home....

So I would pick wind any day and rain only if I really had to. But being on a sports bike i feel a lot more vulnerable without a windshield....

wind is nothing... im used to up to 65 mph bursts on my daily commute to work... wide open spaces with no trees down here make for no wind block.
