Which annoys you more.. Gusts of wind or rain

I am ok with rain but I get tensed with gusts of wind

rain dont bother me at all but wind just sucks

i have only been caught in rain once, wind is terrible

Both rain and wind are manageable, but back when I was riding a little 125 over a bridge I had a giant gust of wind actually push me over to the next lane. That experience made me dislike wind. As far as rain riding, my current bike's brakes seem to get pretty mushy when it's wet out which is a bit disconcerting.

Most definitely rain. Poor vision through visor and less chance of cagers seeing you

Kuroshio 06-12-2011 04:23 AM

Rain
  • I get wet
  • Visor fogs from humidity
  • Crosswalks become as bad as gravel
  • Trolley tracks become as bad as oiled glass
  • I get wet (this gets said twice since my jacket gains 10 lbs)

Wind, I just go with it

I'm reasonably comfortable with both, but +1 that rain affects both your and the cagers' vision. I hate getting caught in the plume thrown up by a tractor trailer, since I can't see a thing for a second or two that my helmet visor is covered with water. A rainy ride on low-traffic roads can be kind of fun. Surrounded by truck and cars, not so much.

Wind sucks! Period! Danger Danger Danger!

Rain, bring it on. Ya just have to go slower and take FAR more care but it won't throw you off like squally wind. WOn't take you by surprise.
Water repellent on your visor and you're good to go.
If only they could come up with wind repellent for the whole bike and rider. I'd buy some of that.

Wind really is the only reason I try to stay off the highways during the afternoon. During the night I love hoping on the highways but the wind during the day makes me feel like im drifting around uncontrollably.

I have only rode in rain once and I actually felt pretty calm while doing it. I just didnt take turns hard and eased on the throttle more.

Wind & rain o.k.

I commute on my bike all year round & regularly get up to 130 km/hr wind gusts where i live + rain can be horizontal on occasion, if you know what i mean. I used to get freaked out by the odd torrential down poor, but it's happened so often now i just don't get fazed..

Ice freaks me out.
