When its raining I expect rain.
When I'm riding I can't see the wind coming.
I was racing mx about this time last year, super windy day. At the top of the hill was a single jump that gets your tires maybe 5-6 feet off the ground, but the whole time you are in the air on this particular jump the ground is dropping out from under you.
Regardless, the wind pushed me from the left. My wheels were swept out from under me somewhat. I put my left foot down do I didn't crash. Well my foot took the force of me plus the bike falling. My heel hurt like a bitch, knee swelled up like a tuna, I wasn't in good shape. So yeah, eff wind

I would take the wind over the rain anyday. Im from southwest Kansas so anyday we rode at all the wind was blowing, and rain is just something unheard of out there. When it rains you get soaked, cold, you cant see, it stings, it makes the road slick, people dont see you. Id deal with the wind and just go with the flow.

Eff the rain, the first ride I ever took on my F4I was in 45 mph gusts and about 15 mph constant wind. Ever since then my bike doesn't really move when it's windy, idk if I react to it subconsciously since it's what I learned in but idk what it's like to have the bike get blown all over anymore. The rain just makes me wet and cold and I can't see and people can't see me and anything painted or metallic becomes death.

Haven't been caught in the rain yet. But down here in NE Florida there is a ton of smoke from around 8 different fires burning and spreading. The air quality has been rated as hazardous in Jacksonville. I was on the expressway going over the St. Johns and it is a good 3 miles miles across and Buckman Bridge - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia the wind was blowing so damn hard with no trees blocking it, I bet everyone though I was drunk lol. That coupled with terrible visibility from the smoke made it a very interesting ride. So +1 for the wind, but i bet the rain SUCKS!!!
