Yes sir, o town ftw. I do a lot of R&D and design sub work and it just became more practical to set up a shop at my home. I also have interest in a full scale production machine shop here in Sanford. So yea, its easy to get spoiled. If your close enough and I can do anything for you, feel free to ask.

I've heard of precision, but I dont have any personal experience. I think I know someone who has used them tho, ill see if so and what their experience was.

That sure is a perty tail.

ya... in the last post i said that it's 9mm too big on the spacer.... but it actually rides pretty well even with the offset. and everything right now is just for a mock up (look how i'm only running one triangle on the shock/swingarm/dogbone pivot)

before i tore her down, she was riding, and she rode real well

ya, i've seen that bike on cf. that guy has changed the bike sooo much. he has a membership on our site and he posted it here a long time ago (i think he may have even been in a rotm contest), but it didn't look anything like that when he posted it on here.

that guy has some serious bodywork skills - and he's pretty damn good with a welder too.

he's got another 954 that he's working on right now, and it as well is pretty mean looking as well.

so the 08-11 throttle bodies and airbox i bought forever ago finally got here. it looks like it'll be a pretty easy bolt on - it's just they don't quite fit into the boots that are for the 954 throttle bodies. so i'm sure after Christmas, i'll be able to figure it all out on how to get them in there after a couple of trips to ACE or fleabay.

speaking of which - merry Christmas to everyone on here!

okay, i'll have to be switching over to a 08/11 1krr fuel pump as well. fuel pressure is regulated at the pump (unlike the 954). making an adapter plate to it should be no problem. and it really is a must since i'm going to be running an ECU and wiring harness from an 08/11 1krr

things have been crazy this time of year, so no work has started on the subframe. i'm really low on funds after christmas, and i've got a few more things i need to get before i start chopping things up.

well.... the only thing i've done since the last update was take more stuff apart.... and realize i'm changing a LOT of things.

still doing a carbon tail from a 1krr.... but i'm not crazy about having all seperate carbon fiber peices together.... so i'm going to sell the tail and underpanel that i bought (gotta love loosing money...), build subframe, but cheap plastics on ebay, bondo and mold a solid tail unit out of carbon fiber. i think i'll get more of the look i want and it'll fit better with the tail light i use.

done with the 954 forks.... going with newer 1krr's to get radial brakes as well (and as of now, i plan on using an sp2 wheel for the front). and i can mount risers to the 1kkrr top triple - so that i can use the dirty bars i want to use.

ditching the v-rod headlight. i think it's right at home on a cafe racer... but not on a fighter in the way i'm going....

i have the 1krr seat (i think it matches the tail section the best) and looks like it'll be easy enough to mount to the subframe (even though its a little different than the way the 954 seat mounts).

also, i'm changing the plans for the motor. i was talking to a machine shop... and he advised me that it'll cost the same amount to recondition the motor to stock (75mm) bore as it will as boring it oversize (76mm). and who the hell am i to throw away displacement? so now, it looks like i'll be officially joining the 980cc club. so i'll be selling my zemke pistons that i had been saving up. o and the pistons that will be going in the new motor will be 13.5:1. the guy said that i'll still be able to run pump gas (premium) - so it looks like that's the plan.

and then i decided that i don't like the radiator - so i bought a '05 1krr radiator. the tall, and v-shaped - which is kind of what i'm looking for. more cooling capacity too - which i'll need with the "uber" compression bump.

and there's no hope of fitting the '09 1kkrr airbox and throttle bodies underneath the tank of the 954 - so i'm converting the 1kkrr throttle bodies over the single injector with the 954 fuel rail and FPR, so it looks like i don't need the 1kkrr fuel pump anymore and i'm building a custom plenum intake box.... and i think i'll be using a big *** pod filter as the primary intake. i'll show you guys later... but it's going to look mean as hell.

and i won't be switching to the 1kkrr wiring harness/ECU either.... it just won't work with the vital sensors (crank shaft and cam shaft) on my budget.

good thing is, i have a bunch of things to sell, and so i'll soon have more money for my project. as well, my father in law just got a new job in which he has anytime access to a very nice welder and some other tools (like a big *** metal lathe) that will come in handy (you gotta love mechanic's privileges).

i have nothing to do today, so i'm going to go get in the garage and start working. i'll take some pics of some things and put them up. sorry for the novel. pics to come
