One of the spoken-for cabins is me, by myself...and I'd really prefer to share the space (and expense). SO, if you want to go, let me know!

Also, if you prefer tent camping, the tent spots are really good (comfy, stay dry, etc.).

Wahoo! Gonna be a good time.

Question

If anyone is coming down thru Baltimore or near by might want to stop by and move the Sprocket Link.

Yep, there were a few times I considered just jumping on the bike and going to get that dam thing. Then it got cold and crappy.
I could at least bring it west to like Hagerstown, MD or so. It's about 4hrs round trip, i'd say.
The problem with picking it up on my way to the gap is that I already have a 10hr trip just to get there, and adding a couple hours would suck... lol..

Just noticed the Asheville Bikefest is same weekend. Weekends are busy on the Dragon during the season. We may have to share the road with a few more. No matter, there is plenty of super asphalt down there.
Anyone got a big countdown clock goin on the event?

I'm game...let me know.

Also, if you guys don't mind, if anyone who is planning to go could PM me your real name and any details as you know them (when you're planning to arrive, etc.) that would be great. Not that I'm organizing any big event or anything, but it would be cool just to have an idea who's coming and know who to say hi to when we arrive.

Thanks!

Wow! Actually, it looks like it might not be open. That is a bit of a bummer, but there is MUCH awesome riding in the area to be done not on The gap. I know some of the guys who are going haven't been to the area before, so I wanted to mention that...lots of great roads.

That said, I suppose it would be appropriate to ask if people would rather go elsewhere. Personally, I'm still100% for doing the trip as-is even taking a chance that they won't re-open the road. What do you guys think?
