Racing 2009

I watched them all yesterday, WSBK R-1 & 2 & MotoGP. I must say the wet track for MotoGP was a very interesting race & 3 new faces on the podium. If Spies can shake the CRASH monkey off his back, I think he will be the 2009 Champion... Just seems for every win there is a DNF. Haga I think will get better as he heals, but think Spies has the momentum. Also I wonder why LCR changed the paint scheme on the bike @ Leguna Seca?

LOL- I haven't watched the MotoGP race yet...thanks for the spoiler...but truthfully, by the time I watch the GP races for this year, it would be new and exciting all over again...so long as I don't know who wins the crown this year...I haven't a clue as to what's going on this year.
I do know that Pedrosa is unimpressive and it's a battle between Rossi, Stoner and Lorenzo. Hayden also hasn't yet to make the best of the Duck....and Gibernau!!!!...you would have thought he was still in retirement. Ah.....I miss the Rossi/ Gibernau battles...heck I may pull out the epic 2004 battle, but I digress.

You are correct, the only time you hear Gibernau's name is when they call out the positions before & after the race... I think this year MotoGP has been just as exciting as WSBK. Actua;;y WSS has been the better battles as far as racing goes. I haven't figured why AMA seems to be lacking something. I look forward to seeing another race live & see if it renews my interest in it. I wanna say being the the factories seem to have done most of their cut backs were in AMA... What do ya'll think?

Mladin retiring?!?!?!?!?
Mladin has pulled out of races before in protest. As I understand he started the "safety" for riders kick years ago and has formed a safety committe within the AMA. They listened to him and out of that came the development of the airfence. Money was tight and he bitched about that, pulled out a few races and he and Pegram put up some of their own money.
I doubt he goes WSBK unless he foots the bill. I doubt a WSBK team would pick him up, but then again they seem to like the "seasoned" racers over there.
