Good point on Spies, except I don't see it as a move "up" like I used to.
I read something about Valentino Rossi's racing at the Suzuka 8-hour, when he was teamed with Colin Edwards (back in the olden days, when Edwards was Da Shiznitz on SBK), and basically they wouldn't have won were it not for Edwards. The article put it in a way that said that Colin carried Valentino.
Later, it is said that Valentino remarked that Superbike requires a different style of riding that GP. That perspective give me a new found respect for guys like Max Biaggi and Alex Barros to name a few. I wonder how Valentino feels about the success of Biaggi in WSBK, an arena that he won't throw his hat into?

James Toseland hasn't accomplished much with his Tech 3 ride so I've seen speculation that Tech 3 could eventually be an all Texas team. Dave Despain asked Colin what he would think of that on Wind Tunnel a few weeks ago and Colin seemed to like it It's no secret that Toseland has caused a lot of issues on that team. Too bad it would mean Spies would be on a Yamaha.

Damn, Jbird... I want to see Honda win!!! But after seeing they passed on Lorenzo, I am losing the thought they (Honda Racing) even cares to win. Cause Lorenzo has been riding better than Pedrosa & Dovizioso. So why would you not pick him up & drop Dovizioso at the minimal? Also as we spoke before, they have passed on a lot of GOOD riders... Its like they looking for a bargain rider v/s who's the best. I will say from MotoGP, WSBK & AMA... As long as they are just OK, thats good enuff.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, but with Hodgson's credentials, I thought he might be the one... Duhamel, was a sentimental favorite, he had won so much, I figuired he would stay there until he retired. Zemke did win in MMP in 06, but his season results were really there. Even this year I was VERY disappointed he hasn't won a race yet!!! Wonder if the other bikes or riders are better...
