Interesting perspective you have on Rossi. I don't see that he's folding under pressure. If anything (and I hate to say it), I think Rossi has been working on Stoner for the past 3 years, and maybe he's cracked. Lorenzo has been alienated for awhile and as the article says Rossi didn't want Lorenzo on the team...and what Rossi wants, he gets...politics, and that's why Lorenzo wants to beat him so badly, to prove he belongs. I think given the right mentorship and time, he will be a Rossi eater.

Well its official, Lorenzo will stay with Fiat Yamaha. So I think for the rest of this year & next we will see some good racing between him & Rossi & hopefully Stoner with a few others to make it exciting to watch. I am still a Honda guy, but am coming to the realism, they are truly concern with WINNING!!!

Well, I do think they make great bikes regardless of their STUPID decisions on making their team a winner. I wonder if the win on Sunday sale on Monday is true, maybe they are targeting the European sales now v/s American by the team they put together. They had Hayden (MotoGP) & Toseland (WSBK). Now Spain & Italy???

Good question. Last I heard they were the worldwide sales leader. Not sure about now. I was stunned when they pulled out of AMA due to "the global economic crisis". What a crock!

Well, I think they are do to total sales in all bike styles. Not sure how they stand in sportbike sales... I don't know what the budge to run a team for a season, but think they have the $$$ or @ least co-sponsor some teams like they did with Corona Xtra & Jordon got Army Nat. Guard to buy in. I think DMG will push the sponsorship, like NASCAR to have highspeed billboards zooming around the track insead of all the privateers under funded.

I couldn't believe that Rossi and Pedrosa both crashed that early on. It kind of ruined the race for first but it was great cheering for Hayden to get his first podium on the Ducati. At least that makes the championship closer so the racing will be even better in the next rounds. De Angelis rode great for someone about to lose his ride. He was really pushing hard in every session this weekend. He was actually the fastest in the warm-up session and that was on a satellite bike.

This was the second MotoGP that I've attended (and the first where there wasn't a hurricane). The thing that was ridiculous was just the body positioning of some of the riders. I already thought that Lorenzo really hung off the bike a lot on TV but seeing him in person is different. He and Pedrosa get their bodies so close to the ground!

One thing that I saw at Indy that hasn't been discussed was the Moto2 class that will be replacing the 250cc class. They had a few bikes run some demonstration laps on Saturday and they certainly seemed more exciting than 250's. The whole class will have identical 600cc Honda engines that are randomly distributed. Teams are allowed to have different chassis and other components but the engine will be the same for everyone. I think this is an interesting approach and could produce some great racing. World supersport is already known for great racing. While it lacks the manufacturer rivalries I don't know if anyone really followed that in the old 250 class anyway. I think this class with identical engines has the potential to be good. Anyone else have thoughts on this?

Glad you were there, to enjoy yourself. I attended Indy last year for MotoGP, & enjoyed it even though it got cut short due to the rain. I thought downtown did a great job to entertain the fans. I wanted to come back this year, but opted not to, to do something special with my lady. We had a GREAT time. After seeing the early crashes, I felt like you (Cincy) it took some of the excitement out of the race. I am glad the points are closer, so it will be a battle to the end, I hope...

Yeah, I have been reading up on the Moto2 coming into play. I agree, it would be nice to have other manufactures there, but as I have complained about Honda Racing, maybe this is where they are putting their eggs... I hope it sparks more interest & excitement.
