What is wrong with people
All 5 of the points you make are well taken, but much depends on the context in which you read them...As far as I'm aware, the problem is not with people who worship God, but with unbelievers and idolators. They are supposed to be the real enemy. The Khoran even recognises Jesus as a prophet, which surely would not be the case if He was seen to be one of the "Idolators"
If all we are saying is true, I guess the Hindus have a problem with the Muslims, for worshipping many gods ?
We haven't as you say, been able to sort it out in a thousand years......what chance now ? And ridding the world of one of the players isn't really an option, is it ? India and Pakistan still play cricket against one another, in spite of their differences in beliefs, so there must be some hope....

There are many options out there, but maybe our education system has really killed creativity after all and we no long can think outside the box.
Maybe the Incas, Mayans etc were isolated by time, geography and distance from the then known world, and the numbers were much smaller, it'd be a little more difficult with hundreds of millions of people. Also, details of the ravages of Cortez and others were conveniently forgotten by the people of the time, in favour of the grandeur of conquest. (very much like uncle Saddam)They also didn't have the modern liberal view of "live and let live" or CNN and embedded reporters..he he. As for removing one of the players, let's not forget the ***** and their ideology......We need to come up with a different mindset. I don't think creativity has been stifled in the school system - look at all the technological advances over the past 50 years, worldwide. But when you mix politics , religion and economic empowerment you are surely playing with a live detonator. Answer - who knows ? Far better men than me have tried.
Well there is a lot of hate in the world as it turns everyday... im sad to look at young kids like in the vid that im going to show that fight for no good reasons, (like there is any),the girl in the blue died sortly due to the aftermath of these wounds.
It's in spanish they are a couple of Mexican girls one is a student of like a junior hi school in Juarez Mexico, but you can tell that these things are all over the world...Sad but true.

Hey Samill42 True, small pox and other ills were brought by the Spanish, and decimated the South American tribes of the time, (along with muskets, swords and pikes) but their numbers were insignificant compared to the hundreds of millions involved here. Yes, we need a new plan.......not just for the US, but worldwide.....
FYI a Samill is also a South African military vehicle.......any RSA connection ?

I want to point out... that we all love our military. I've read countless articles of how our troops do good over there. Within those countless good articles, are news of how many, many soldiers find new pets. For instance, a story I read the story of Marine Maj. Brian Dennis. While on patrol in the Anbar province, he met his new friend, Nubs. When his squad was relocated 65 miles away, he wasn't permitted to take the dog with him, and just watched as Nubs tried to follow the Humvees away from the border. Two days later, Nubs showed up when Dennis was working on a Humvee.
Heartwarming good story in so much death and destruction. Yet we see one video of one marine throwing a crying puppy off a cliff and suddenly we get more and more people from all over the world screaming bloody murder and how evil we are.
Which story is going to stick more? The growing attachment of Soldiers and dogs or one video of a very heinous act? The negative always dwarfs the positive. So, yes, you watched this video and you see this kid being taught to kill. We never see any of the good that is going on, because it doesn't grab ratings. Their are probably thousands of good deeds going on, but we just see the bad done by a select few.
It happens there; it happens here; it happens everywhere.

I bow to your superior knowledge of the subject........you're clearly an erudite scholar of some depth. Not my field at all......
Now I'm off to do some good deeds, and try to keep the streets safe for
the right and just.
Maybe I'll get to ride my bike, too
And yes, Juliet, Woo IS clearly the voice of reason, and sanity will prevail....Eventually.
