Supermoto Progress... (cleaned up and "finished")

RE: Supermoto Progress...
It's a bit long but it certainly gives you an idea of what the bike is capable of.

If you include the cost of the real deal supermoto wheels, it would jump your total up by $700, so you're talking $3400 for a fully outfitted moto.
While searching for moto vids I cam across this title...

I had to click it and while I didn't need the lesson he certainly taught it well. I was surprised... I was expecting to see some d-bag chasing whoolies in a parking lot, lol.

RE: Supermoto Progress...
I've seen them go on CL for as low as $4000. You could probably get one with spare dirt tires/wheels for around $4800-$5400.
The real trick, to avoid a costly bike, is to spend as little as possible to get it street legal, then spend EVERYTHING you have left for a decent set of moto wheels, base price is around $700 for a set.
So if you could find any bike already with headlight and tail light and a title, it's a good platform to start (sort of like mine). I just ran out of cash - I'm taking the lady on a cruise with a large chunk of what I had left over from selling the 929. Trust me... it's tough sitting on that cash when I know I could have some sick *** supermoto wheels, lol.

That first one is sick! You gonna go for one? Dude, they're a blast! I couldn't do it if I had to give up my CBR but in addition to the CBR, these things are a friggin' blast.
You'll love it - any idea of what you're looking to spend? You can get a KTM 400EXC which is pretty damn mean (100+mph) for around $3000. They also have titles so you may find one that is set up for street already. If you could find one for a decent enough proce you could have a SERIOUS supermoto for around $4000. I think the new DRZ's are like $6500 brand new... don't quote me.
Pretty much do you want brand new with warranty or a real play toy that you won't cry about if (and when) you take it in the dirt and drop it, lol. I like knowing I'm fully dirt capable and it wouldn't break my heart. Plastics for these bikes is the least expensive thing next to spark plugs, lol. It's like $100 for a complete kit brand new.

RE: Supermoto Progress...
www.motostrano.com and eBay is all I used. Motostrano was pretty highly recommended on a couple of forums I lurked... There is another one, but I didn't order from them. Motostrano was pretty quick, too. I didn't get any stickers from them with my kit and thought that kind of odd so I emailed the guy I bought from and he said they were out but hesent me a whole set or something... we'll see.
And it's easy to ride a dirtbike with a cast on...
