Yeah I had an issue with my truck here in PA about my tail light covers. I simply popped them off and took it back. This obviously is not that simple, so I would try a few of the other local mechanics. Usually if you find a good privately owned one, you can talk with the mechanic and you won't believe what you can get away with.

Where exactly in PA are you? If you are by Pittsburgh, I've got a man for ya.

 

Inspection here is only $12. Every two years for vehicles up to 4 years old or something. Then its every year.

 

In York...P'burg is a bit of a haul...hope to find someone closer, I sent a PM to a guy in town I know from another bike board.

 

i would ask him if he is a certified honda mechanic or parts guy.how the hell does he know whats stock

 

i live in maryland and we have to get ours inspected when we buya new bike... i dont know how it is in pa but i took mine to harley and they were very lenient about after market signals and pipe. they told me that if it worked then it passed. just an idea.
