Just wondering does anyone on here have experience with salvage title inspections in order to register a motorcycle? I'm in iowa if that helps.

 

I did that with my 03 954. I am in Va but I had to fix the bike and then call local PD and they had an inspector come out look at all receipts and bill of sale. He then checked vin on frame and engine. Signed the paperwork I got from the DMV and went to DMV. Show all my paperwork and they gave me plates and reg. You must have it titled first before any other steps. The biggest pain in the butt was waiting for the inspector to come and sign paperwork. Had the bike fixed for 3 weeks before he could come out Let me know if you have any other questions

 

Thanks for that info, my main concern was just having to wait months before it could be titled and registered.
