ive taken a few different martial arts programs. boxed for 8 yrs. unfortunately the army only offers what we call "combatives" its a weak form of brazilian jiu jitsu. phases 1-3 teach you just enough to get your head big and *** whooped. im waiting to go to phase 4. ive always wanted to do krav maga. my wife has been doing it for a little while now. she likes it. when i get back im going to try my hand at muay thai.

it doesnttry your hands....it WILL however try your shins and upper section of your abs...
your hands should be pretty solid already....you'd be surprised how bone chunks will "float" in your shin though...

Okay it's kind of a slow day so here's a classic we as instructors have gotten a real kick out of reviewing this training footage back when they Corps was doing everything possible to come up with a advanced Martial Arts course for Force Recon This Program Was Called TAG This Particular Style Is Called Sansoo and a Couple of Sayings Come to Mind Never Judge a Book by Its Cover and You Will Follow Your ***** Regardless

RE: human weapon
i've been training krav for 2 years now...i love it...some of what they show on human weapon looks a little more advanced than we get, but, they were in Israel and were training with an elite force(if i remember correctly)...our instructor drills this thought into our heads almost daily,"it's not IF it happens, it's WHEN it happens"(talking about being attacked)...since i started learning krav, i have acheived a certain peace of mind knowing i have the skills to ward off most of the common "thugs" roaming the streets...i never want to use what i've learned, but knowing i can(and I will) leave someone with the regret that they picked the wrong person to f#@k with, is pretty comforting...
