harleys
I wave at everyone unless im on a corner or something. Was funny the other day some women in the service were driving a big military utility vehicle down twoards the armory the other day and the two ladies in it were all waving about franticly giving me the peace sign. I was so confused I just stuck a hand in the air with the peace sign and thrusted it about vigurously right back at em
.
.
I pretty much wave at everyone too. Oh man, one day me and my friend waved at these 2 bikers. One of them was a chick riding a ZX6R, and she went to wave, and all of a sudden we see her hit the brakes hard and she does like a little endo, and ends up putting it down. Don't think she was really paying attention to what was in front of her, and the car stopped in front of her, and she freaked out and grabbed a ton of brake lol. Me and my friend turned around helped her get her bike up and make sure everything was alright. Poor Kawasaki lol.
Yeah, thats why I usually wave at anything on two wiheeles, but dont keep on looking to see if they wave back. I Usually take out a hand and point with the finger like saying "Numero UNO" and rev it a little, not enogh to sound like an *** hole trying to race, just enogh to enogh to call their atention.
aw ifeel bad for her falling! that sucks and is pretty embarassing. at least you guys were nice enough to help her back up. thats what i call being a good rider! helping someone in need? yea were better than boyscouts! yea when i had my cmx250 (POS) i only waved to the sports bike riders because the cops are dicks where i live, the HD riders arent very understanding of our situations(even though my dad has one), and scooters are just like a clown on two wheels. but yea once i started to ride alot more ive come to the conclusion that we are ALL a family and its more along the lines of motorcycle etiquette to wave or throw up a peace sign.
I wave to anyone on two wheels... hell, I've given a kid on a bicycle the wave once... probably made his f**kin' day, too... you're 12, riding along on your bike, and all the sudden a guy on a sportbike rides past and waves at you
. Even if my left hand is busy clutching, I'll give a rider coming towards me a nod in place of a wave (provided I'm doing something more involved than an upshift or something).
Around here, the bikers are pretty good with the wave... this season, I've only gotten two unreturned waves (both from guys on cruisers... go figure). I passed a group of 5 or 6 guys on harleys sunday... got a wave from each and every one of them (passengers included). It kinda pisses me off when I get an unreturned wave, but in the end, who cares? I'm out there to ride, not wave at people. The friendliness thing is just a bonus.
Here's my question though... on a divided highway (no barriers, just one of those grass valley type things), do you wave to a biker going the opposite way? My guess is no, and I've never had anyone wave at me from the other side of the highway, so I'm assuming I'm right... what do you guys think?

It's easy to wave to a Harley guy from a Honda saddle - not so easy to wave back from a Hardly Dangerous, I've heard - they're too busy holding on for dear life........at 40 MPH...

I wave at eveyone, cops, even scooters, but Harleys and BMW riders seem to think it's "beneath their dignity" (sic) to respond, until they break down, and wave at you from the side of the road, and really expect you to stop and help......[:@]
